There is an increased role played by technological capabilities in firms’ operation and growth globally.  Little emphasis is put to the growing impact of innovation in boosting the performance of the firm using strategic approaches and well founded guidelines. The book by Bessant & Bessant (2003), alludes to the growing and framework which has been established in recent times to boost the impact of technological growth in the global economy. The impact of innovation in learning organizations is highly appreciated owing to then tangible impact it shows (Keskin, 2006).

The current business environment is supremely dynamic and command business to change in a radical manner so as to embrace the coming trend of innovation in operation and sustainability of the firms operation in global economy. Then encouragement of experimentation as shown by Bessant & Bessant (2003) is desired so as to establish a monitoring framework by which business can operate effectively. Streams of research have led to the linking of innovation and the knowledge base of the organization in relation to the acquisition of then necessary threshold to apply the innovative aspect of the organizational operation.

According to the book, technological innovation has been then main contributor to the turbulent market condition of then learning organizations which is being experienced globally. Students and technical learners want to experience the new technology which brings them at par with the trend (Bessant & Bessant, 2003). The biggest reflector of the organizations’ technological progress is the policy that it reflects on its commitment to attaining its objectives and goals. Too much innovation, however, can stifle then growth of the organization according to the learnings, technology and innovation are however linked in a complex pattern, and however, technology plays a very huge part in the innovative aspect of any learning organization (Asheim, 2007).

I am in full agreement with the authors notion that the innovative aspect of an organization is highly attributed to the ability of the firm to be able to anchor its operation in technology. The authors are adamant that workforce process is highly dependent on the technological aspect of the firm. Students tend to prefer an innovative learning environment where they can explore new openings in technology and even for entrepreneurships. According to Bessant & Bessant (2003), Organizations differ mainly because of the emphasis they put on the technological and as such, knowledge endowment provides high fodder for the technological heterogeneity. I also agree with the assertions that the management of technology is considered as an important issue since it is directly linked to the performance of any firm as well as its failure in the market.

I fail to agree with assertion in the article that innovation may fail to take place in an organization through the break-through point.  The article highly recommends for the innovation that revolves around the technology for higher and better outcome. These innovative ways however may occur through the overall value chain and need the integration through the internal and external boundaries (Asheim, 2007). While those assertions are true, it is also important to realize that technological innovation in any sphere of work is boundless and cannot be quantified by any means.

The cases for technology and innovation management have been embraced by telecommunications companies, led by the Vodafone Company. The company hires a great number of research and development staffs who are able to bring about new and creative ideas into the market and the knowledge base of its operation. then use of the technologically accepted procedures have allowed for the Vodafone company to reach out to the wide range of ten market segments which it was not able to reach before. The improved service delivery has enabled it to reach a wide scope of customers in a short period of time.

The lessons that I have learnt from the article has enabled me to change the innovative course of my organization (Keskin, 2006). It is prudent for an executive to meet the expectations of not only the target customer but the entire work environment, most learning organizations have marked on an effort to accommodate rising innovative ideas so as to compete at a global level. Given the position to hold administrative role in my organization, my resolve to embrace technology and innovation cannot go unrecognized. I shall ensure innovation and technological changes remain in the firm foundation for the organization culture that I am in charge of,  as well as in present and I future work opportunities.
